In memoriam of George Dorin

16 December, 1952 to 25 March, 2025.

Eastern Platinum is deeply saddened by the passing of Board Chair George Graham, who left an enduring mark on the business.

George joined the Eastplats Board on July 5, 2016, and served with unwavering dedication as Board Chair and Chair of the Corporate Governance and Compensation Committee.

His over 40 years of extensive financial experience, including roles with Ernst & Whinney (now KPMG), Price Waterhouse, and the Royal Bank of Canada, brought invaluable insight and leadership to Eastplats.

In 2007 and 2008, he was a Senior Vice President in Corporate Finance with Wolrige Mahon (now Baker Tilly WM), a British Columbia-based CPA Firm. He provided corporate finance, senior financial management, and corporate director services to several public companies through his personal financial services company, CANUS Capital Corporation.

George achieved undergraduate degrees in both Science and Accounting from the University of British Columbia, a master’s degree in finance from the London School of Economics, and a Diploma from the Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.

“George’s wisdom, integrity, and leadership have been instrumental to Eastplats’ growth and success. His presence will be deeply missed,” said Wanjin Yang, CEO of Eastplats.

Charlie Liu, Director of Eastplats, stated, “I have had the honour and privilege of working closely with George over the past several years. I deeply respect his contributions to Eastplats and wish to extend my deepest condolences to his family.”

Bielin Shi, Independent Director of Eastplats, added, “I have worked with George on the Board since 2016. George’s commitment and contributions have left an indelible mark on the company. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”

George, who has been part of Eastplats for more than a decade, will be deeply missed, but his leadership and legacy will continue to inspire and remain a guiding force. We extend our deepest condolences to George’s family, friends and colleagues.
